NEW DELHI: Internet is abuzz with rumours on how Nokia N9 will look like and its features. The much-awaited smartphone from mobile giant Nokia is speculated to have a QWERTY keyboard and a 4-inch multi-capacitive HD display.
Nokia N9 is believed to sport a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. Connectivity options on the phone are expected to include 3G, Wi-Fi, HDMI port and Bluetooth support. Some web sites like TechnoBuffalo and Negri Electronics have also posted images of the phone.
Though there are still little details available on the operating system Nokia N9 will run on, it is widely believed to be a MeeGo-based phone.
As Nokia recently said that N8 is its last Symbian based N-Series handset and that all future N-Series phones would run on its new MeeGo operating system. N8 will run on the latest version of Symbian OS, Symbian3.
Intel-Nokia MeeGo joint project aims to merge the efforts of the Intel Moblin mobile OS with the Nokia-led Maemo operating system.
The company's mobile devices chiefAnssi Vanjoki told Wall Street Journal that the company expects to ship the first MeeGo-based devices by the end of the year.
