Features

Touchscreen: The Storm uses a "SurePress" glass capacitive touchscreen which provides haptic feedback. This screen allows the user to navigate through the phone using their fingertip, similar to a computer's mouse, and "click" the screen by pushing down to select.

Display: 3.25 in (8.3 cm) TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive scratch-resistant screen with 360 X 480 pixel resolution and able to display 65,536 colours. The touchscreen eliminates the need for use of a stylus as it uses a capacitive touchscreen.
CPU: The Storm utilizes the MSM7600 from Qualcomm[11] a dual core CPU with ARM11 400 MHz and ARM9 274 MHz.
Battery: The Storm features a user-replaceable, rechargeable DX-1 Li-ion battery stated to be capable of providing up to 5.5 hours of GSM talk time, 6 hours of CDMA talk time, or 15 days (356 hours) of standby.
Text Input: The Storm implements a virtual keyboard on its touchscreen. Using its accelerometer allows the user to switch between a virtual SureType keyboard when held in portrait mode, and in a full QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode. Newer versions of the operating system also allow for a full QWERTY keyboard while in portrait mode. The device has an automatic spell check correction, and the SureType keyboard configuration has predictive text. Firmware package 4.7.0.203 (Verizon Wireless) removes the predictive text feature from the multi-tap keyboard configuration.
Camera: The device features a built-in 3.2 megapixel camera located on back which features a flash, autofocus, and has video recording capabilities with a maximum resolution of 480 x 352 pixels.
Memory: The device features 1GB of onboard memory, 128MB of NVRAM and an expandable memory slot support for a microSD card of up to an additional 32GB (A 32gb microSD card is not yet available, but the Blackberry Storm will support the card upon its release). Verizon Wireless, Bell Mobility and Telus Mobility include a preinstalled 8GB microSD card onboard.
Headphone Jack: The device has a standard 3.5 mm stereo audio jack.
Bluetooth: The device supports Bluetooth v2.0, Bluetooth Stereo Audio via A2DP and AVCRP.

 Samsung Star (S5233)

Samsung Star comes with the latest multimedia features in a slim and compact body that measures a mere 11.9mm. Adopting a 7.63 cm WQVGA full-touch screen and Samsung's TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets, the phone enables its users to enjoy their mobile easily and intuitively. Using "Photo Contact," users can call a contact by simply touching an appointed image. It also comes with a Stylus for the convenience of consumers.

The Samsung Star boasts various multimedia features including a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with smile recognition capability. It supports multi-format playback and DNSe for ease of use and better sound quality.

Samsung Star comes with a unique Gesture Control feature that allows the user to unlock the Touch screen or run an application just by giving a gesture command. Thus, the phone allows the user to customize the applications to a great degree .Eg. for calling your friend, you don't need to search his /her number in the contacts list .Just give a gesture command (A, B or C as per your preference and setting ) - the phone will recognize the command and dial the number simultaneously. In addition, the user can also customize various applications like C- Call, M – Music, I – Internet etc.

 

 

The phone also features music recognition using Shazam's "Find Music" service.To enjoy various multimedia content , Samsung Star supports 50MB Internal memory , expandable up to 8GB. Users can enjoy full Internet browsing with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation. It supports Google applications like Google Search, Gmail, Google maps; online widgets and photo blogging. For convenience, the phone supports a virtual QWERTY keyboard for messaging and handwriting features. It is priced at Rs.11,100/-.

Samsung Star 3G (S5603)

The Samsung Star 3G attracts style-conscious users with its slim and compact design. Full Internet browsing support with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation also gives users exciting mobile Internet experiences. Samsung Star 3G, as the name suggests, is a 3G enabled phone. 

Equipped with a QVGA full-touch screen, Samsung Star 3G adopted the TouchWiz User Interface and "Gesture Control" feature, designed to customize and personalize the way you use your phone. Mobile widgets can be placed on the screen for one-click access to your favorite applications. Samsung Star 3G comes with a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with Power LED Flash.The handset's generous memory (80MB Internal memory, expandable up to 8GB) ensures ample storage space for multimedia content. It is priced at Rs.14499/-.

Following the success of its Beat Series of music phones – Beat 450 and Beat 270 last year, Samsung today announced the launch of   Samsung BEATDJ in the Indian market. Samsung BEATDJ represents the perfect combination of full touch-screen technology, incredible sound and beautiful design. Running Samsung's intuitive DISC User Interface, BEATDJ comes fully loaded with Bang & Olufsen audio technology. Samsung Introduces the World’s First Solar Powered Mobile Phone

Samsung leads the solar panel mobile market with the launch of                  'Samsung Solar Guru'

Noida, June 10th, 2009 - Samsung India today announced the global launch of the world's first solar powered mobile phone, the "Solar Guru" (Guru E1107) in the Indian market. The new handset enables its users to charge the battery anywhere the sun is shining, so that users are not inconvenienced when the phone battery is running out of normal charge. Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Hon'ble Minister for New and Renewable Energy and Mr. J S Shin, President & CEO, Samsung South West Asia HQ launched the phone at a ceremony organized by the Company at its manufacturing complex at Noida.
